Admissions Process Application (link to DOC) Applications are processed according to postmark date and priority is given to siblings of current students. Please refer to our Wait Pool Policy and FAQ for additional enrollment information (below). If you would like to place your child in our wait pool, please download the application form and submit, along with a non-refundable $50 application fee, to: We would like to thank you for your interest in Cow Hollow School. With so many lovely families in our applicant pool, the admissions process has been a very difficult one. We have spent months looking at applications and delightful letters of intent. Due to our low teacher-to-student ratios, small class sizes, and large number of siblings, unfortunately we were not able to admit all of the interested families. We have completed our admissions process and have enrolled the students for the 2008-2009 school year. Please note that if we were unable to offer you a place for the 2008-2009 school year, your application will remain in the wait pool and will move to the appropriate class/age group for the 2009-2010 school year. Thank you again for your interest in Cow Hollow School. Cow Hollow School 65 Funston Ave. (The Presidio) San Francisco, CA 94129 In order to be considered for admission, you must have completed an application and learning tour (see below) by the February of the year for which you are applying. Cow Hollow School admits students of any race, color, religion, disability, and national or ethnic origin, and accord to them all of the privileges, programs, and activities made available at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, disability, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation in administration or its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid and other school administered programs. Wait Pool Policy A child will be added to the wait pool when the application and fee have been received. Please wait to send an application until after your child is born. Children are accepted from the wait pool based on a variety of factors. When an opening becomes available, we consider: · Gender and diversity balance of the class · Child’s age and current developmental range of the class · Siblings of current families are given preference (but we cannot guarantee their acceptance) · Date of application (applications are organized in order of postmark date and are categorized into the appropriate class) You only need to apply once, as your application rolls over into the next year and is categorized into the next class level. Families in the wait pool are contacted once per year regarding their interest in remaining in the wait pool (typically in April). We unfortunately cannot give out specific numbers or status of your child in the wait pool. If your child does not receive an admission letter the year that you have requested, he/she will remain in the wait pool, moving to next class level, unless you specify that you want your child removed from the pool or we are unable to get in touch with you for confirmation. Placement in Class is Determined by Age · If your child is two years old by September 1, your child will attend a two-year-old class. · If your child is three years old by September 1, your child will attend a three-year-old class. · If your child is four years old by September 1, your child will attend a four/five-year-old class. Preadmission Policy If it is determined that a child has undisclosed needs that Cow Hollow School would be unable to safely and effectively meet, the school has 30 days from the day of acceptance to terminate membership. Care and Supervision of Children Cow Hollow School will provide care and supervision for all enrolled children on our premises during school hours and activities.
